Adonay Duque is one of the key figures in contemporary Venezuelan painting. His work has been the subject of individual exhibitions in prestigious galleries around the world, in cities such as New York, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, Lima, Bogotá, Panama and Madrid, among others. His works have appeared at art fairs in Palm Springs, Miami, Houston, Toronto and the LA Art Show. They are part of collections at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Caracas, the National Art Gallery of Caracas, the Philadelphia Museum, the Museum of Fine Arts in Caracas, the Bank of the Republic in Bogotá, Colombia, the Museum of Latin American Art, MOLAA in Long Beach, USA, the National Library in Madrid, and the Boca Raton Museum of Art, USA.

He has also received numerous recognitions, including the most prestigious award of the plastic arts in his country, the Arturo Michelena Prize and, in 2019, the Medal of Merit for the Arts, in the Painting category, from the Mayte Spinola Foundation in Madrid. . He currently lives and works in the province of Cádiz, Spain.
